SUMMARY: Iran’s threat to attack U.S. military interests in Saudi Arabi and Iraq has caused military assets in the region to be placed on a higher alert. Tropical Storm Lisa is growing to Hurricane velocity as it bears down on Belize, Honduras and Mexico. Criminal groups have set off a series of explosions in Guayaquil, Ecuador, causing the U.S. Embassy to order their personnel to exercise extreme caution and only travel in the city during daylight hours. Strikes can be expected today in Tunisia (Transport) and Lebanon (Electricity).

Iran - Saudi Arabia / Iraq - Multiple reports indicate Saudi Arabia has developed information indicating Iran is planning an attack on U.S. forces in Saudi Arabia and/or Iraq. The purpose of the attacks (should they occur) being to take attention of the continuing nationwide unrest taking place throughout Iran. (WSJ) Clearly such an attack would affect the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022.

Ecuador - Guayaquil & Esmeraldas - more than 10 explosions occurred within the urban areas prompting the U.S. Embassy to order personnel to exercise extreme caution and limit travel to the area to daylight hours only. Appointments at Consulate Guayaquil canceled and will be rescheduled. (U.S. Department of State)
