CHINA: The PRC remains the epicenter of the global COVID pandemic with a continued surge of COVID cases. Such is the level of infections within China, countries are once again taking a page from the January 2020 COVID playbook and requiring COVID testing prior to allowing entry or otherwise restricting entry of travelers from China. China calls these actions “unreasonable.” Travelers to and from China will need to do a bit of sleuthing prior to travel to update themselves on the current entry requirements.
Philippines - The number of casualties continue to rise due to severe rain causing widespread flooring. Travel in and out of Philippines have been interrupted.

United Kingdom - Rail travel in the U.K. will be disrupted as the nation’s rail works began a strike.
Argentina & Paraguay - Rail travel between the two countries is being affected by an indefinite rail strike which commenced on 02 January.
