The Governor of Sinaloa has advised all citizens to shelter in place. Airports within the state have ceased operations temporarily. The United States Department of State advises “DO NOT TRAVEL” to Sinaloa state. The UK and Canadian governments have updated their travel advice in a similar manner. Travelers currently in Sinaloa should monitor local news for more immediate updates and contact their airlines if traveling as the airports in Los Mochis, Mazatlan and Culiacán were closed with the expectation of reopening on 06 January.
United States - Heavy rains and wind pounded the west coast of the United States. San Francisco advises citizens that sand bags (limit five) are available to help keep water from entering units/businesses.
France - Yellow Vest protestors plan to take to the streets of Paris and other cities tomorrow, 07 January.
