Germany - Air travel to and through Frankfurt and Munich will be severely impacted 7 and 8 November as the flight attendants of Lufthansa and its four subsidiary airlines go on strike. Chile - Protests continue, and are violent. In Santiago the rally point for the protesters in Plaza Italia, as police began clearing the area, they were set afire by a Molotov cocktail engulfing two female officers in flames - both are in serious condition in hospital. Chile’s Interior Minister, Gonzalo Blumel characterized the attacks as “pure violence, having nothing to do with the legitimate demands of citizens. ” Travel alerts/advisories from multiple governments are warning travelers to avoid Plaza Italia and other areas where large crowds are assembling. France - Yellow Vest protests are expected over the next couple of weekend in Paris and other major cities. The weekend of 17-18 November can be expected to have a greater than normal turnout given the one-year anniversary of the Yellow Vest movement. Thailand - Muslim insurgents in the province of Yala used explosives in storming a Thai government security checkpoint killing 15 people. Travelers to the region should be mindful of the possibility of additional attacks in the Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat provinces where on ongoing Malay-Muslim insurgency has been taking place since 2004
Mynamar (Burma) - The US Embassy Rangoon has issued a warning to U.S. citizens concerning foreigners having been abducted in Rakhine State.

United States - New Jersey Department of Health has issued a Hepatitis A health alert for Somerset County. A food handler, working at the “ShopRite” has been diagnosed with Hepatitis A - he was present from 13-30 October 2019. The county department of health is offering a free Hepatitis A vaccination to all citizens: Somerset County Department of Health, Human Services Building, 27 Warren Street, Somerville, from noon to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, and Thursday, Nov. 7.


United States - FEMA is advising that they are operational in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri as all four states are threatened by heavy rain and the possibility of flash floods.
