Today’s brief is culled from global travel warnings and alerts.
U.S. - Hawaii - Kilauea - Kilauea volcano slowing down?
The Kilauea volcano has passed through the 30-day mark with large scale lava flows as it continued its march to the sea. The residents of the Big Island are no doubt hoping that Kilauea is slowing down, as they have experienced over 9,000 earthquakes over the last 45 days. Then, Kilauea seemingly has decided to take a breath. The flow of lava slowed, confined at this time to Fissure 8, according to the USGS. Our travel advice to the islands of Hawaii remains the same - “4 important tips to know before you travel to Hawaii.”
