Mount Kilauea continues to erupt and destroy houses located in the East Rift Zone via the lava flow surfacing through the 12 fissures.

Boliva - Unrest continues in Sucre, Bolivia.

The UK FCO and the US Department of State have issued an alert concerning the unrest in Sucre.

As of 7 May 2018, there are blockades around the city of Sucre. All flights into and out of Sucre on 7 May have been cancelled; future flights may be cancelled at short notice. You should check with your airline before travelling. Do not attempt to cross blockades, and follow the advice of the local authorities before attempting to leave the city.

Securely Travel - Central Africa RepublicCentral Africa Republic - Clashes throughout Bangui

The UK FCO issues a travel advice re the capital of Bangui.

In April and early May 2018, there were clashes between armed groups and security forces across the capital, in particular the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th districts, with reports of over 20 people killed and over 180 people injured. Tensions were concentrated in particular around the PK5 area of Bangui; we continue to advise against travel to this part of the capital. Many businesses and schools in Bangui are closed as a result of unrest. Consular Assistance – There is no British Embassy in the Central African Republic. British nationals needing urgent help should contact the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London on +44 20 7008 1500.

Travel Inc advises that political gatherings are scheduled on 12 May which may lead to political unrest, specifically in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of the city.
