Nicaragua - US Citizens - if you are safe, inform family, if unsafe, leave country

US Embassy issued a travel restriction on US government personnel - 5am-5pm travel is permitted. To all US citizens who feel unsafe, Embassy advice: Leave the country.

—If you are safe, please inform your family and friends in the United States. The Embassy is receiving an extremely high number of calls regarding people’s welfare. —If you feel unsafe, make personal arrangements to leave the country; commercial flights are still available. There are no plans for a U.S.-government assisted evacuation.
