United States - Hawaii - Kilauea - closes highway
The USGS reports fissure eight pumped lava out up to a height of over 200 feet into the air (see video). An image from space provides context on the localization of the lava flow with respect to the Big Island. The USGS also notes that Kilauea has crossed a local highway, further isolating those residents in the area who have opted not to voluntarily evacuate.
