The British Foreign and Commercial Office (FCO) advises its citizens to take care and consider enhanced security precautions due to the increase in tribal fighting in Hela, Enga, Southern Highlands and Western Highlands.

Venezuela - Unrest and arbitrary arrest & detention of US citizens

The US Department of State advises travelers to “reconsider” travel to Venezuela, highlighting that US citizens have been subjected to arbitrary arrest and detention.

Uganda - Nigeria - DRC - Ebola screenings at borders

The US Department of State advises that both Uganda and Nigeria are conducting “temperature and observational screenings” of passengers originating from Ebola hot spots, such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Securely Travel - Danger Ebola

Nicaragua - Widespread unpredictable violence

The US Embassy, Managua advises US citizens to expect widespread and unpredictable violence and traffic disruptions, as protests continue. All non-Nicaraguan citizens are further advised not to participate in demonstrations, marches or protests, as Article 1 of the Nicaraguan Constitution prohibits foreigners from participation. US government employees are being asked to remain in their homes and avoid unnecessary travel. Meanwhile, Australia is urging its citizens to reconsider travel.
