As we have mentioned many times, travel to Mexico is generally safe. The cartel turf battle in Cancun rarely spills out into the tourist zone of Cancun or Playa de Carmen. That said, every traveler should be asking the question, “Is it safe to travel to Cancun?” and conducting appropriate due diligence prior to travel.
