This morning, November 8, 2021, new CDC Covid travel rules for international air travel into the United States took effect for any air traveler, into any U.S. port of entry (some states, like Hawaii have their own travel regimes in place for air travelers). The big change is that the U.S. is open once again to the world, and travel constraints which were present for travelers from a number of countries, have been lifted.
From the CDC:
Effective November 8, 2021 at 12:01am EST (5:01am GMT), before boarding a flight to the US from a foreign country, all air passengers- 2 years or older – are required to present a negative COVID-19 viral test result, within a time period based on their vaccination status (see table below), or present documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the last 90 days. Air passengers will also be required to confirm in the form of an attestation that the information they present is true.

How many days prior to your international air travel should you be COVID tested?
If you are fully vaccinated, the test must be conducted no more than three (3) days prior to your flight’s departure for the United States. If you are not fully vaccinated, the test must be conducted no more than one day prior to your flight’s departure.
Additionally, air travelers will have to complete an attestation concerning their COVID testing, the attestation form is available here: CDC air traveler COVID test attestation. The attestation is available in English, Arabic, French, Russian, Chinese and Spanish. The CDC urges all international travelers to NOT travel unless you are fully vaccinated against COVID.
