Head’s up! Are you traveling on Alaska Airline next Friday, 20 December 2019? Get your Christmas sweater on and reap some unexpected benefits.

20 December is National Ugly Sweater Day — the one day where we all wear the absolute most-ugly Christmas sweater that we can find and Alaska Airlines is getting in on the fun with a one-day promotion on all Alaska and Horizon Air flights.

Here’s Alaska’s 20 December deal:

Wear your holiday gear and receive

PRIORITY BOARDING.

Alaska’s nonstop joyful attitude is shared by Natalie Bowman, Alaska’s managing director of marketing and advertising: “We know holiday travel can be stressful for some, which is why we’ve made sure flying with the ‘merrier carrier’ this time of year is an experience that brings nonstop joy to all our guests. We love going above and beyond to make your trip memorable; celebrating Ugly Sweater Day is just another way we’re making the holidays a priority,”

Prepare for congestion!

We urge you give yourself plenty of time to make your way through the check-in process if you are traveling over the Christmas/New Year’s holiday. Remember, if you have a wrapped gift, that wrapping my be removed if the contents must be examined by TSA - so perhaps best to carry wrapping paper with you. In addition, use your TSA Pre✓® and sail through the security checkpoints.

Enjoy libations

We’re big fans of Alaska Airlines here at Securely Travel and would be remiss not to highlight that in addition to priority boarding, those who use the Alaska Lounges will find holiday-inspired beverages and cocktails, including snowflake sprinkled lattes and peppermint mochas, along with a special hot toddy cocktail available on National Ugly Sweater Day.

Enjoy National Ugly Sweater Day #uglysweaterday !
