Florida - Falling Iguana Warning

Winter temps have drifted down into the Sunshine State, Florida this week. Temperatures were forecast to fall into the 30-40 degree Fahrenheit range which would push Floridians and Snowbirds alike into their woolies.

An unexpected aspect of the evening’s weather reports was the effect that the temps have on Iguanas. When the temps fall, their bodies go into a paralytic state and they literally fall out of their favorite trees. The National Weather Service advises:

So as you walk about Miami/Fort Lauderdale today, watch for Iggy Iguana, who may have just fallen out of that palm tree. He’s not dead, he’s cold.
