A note from the founder of Securely Travel on the occasion of the first anniversary.
A year ago, April 2018, we started this journey of Securely Travel. Our resources were modest, though our asspiration to fill an imporant niche was not. We knew there was an audience for plain-speaking information which could be used. Used by the individual traveler, the corporate travel office or the travel agent/agency.
Securely Travel Content
In the ensuing year, we’ve created close to 250 blog posts, which included a number of alerts, country briefs, and topical pieces.
When we provide advice or information, we strive to avoid the word “no”, though we won’t hesitate if we believe that a “no” to a given locale or service warrants. Our mission is to provide you with the information which enables you to make an informed decision and not rely on the hyperbole of others - our piece on How to manage a Mexico vacation and not get shot is one example.
Securely Travel Growth
Our mailing list is modest, as most of our readers find us when they are looking for a specific piece of information, via their search engines. What our data shows is that you keep coming back. That said, we welcome you adding your email to our list and receive our posts to your inbox.
Our year over year growth in readership exceeds 300 percent, which we find both amazing and heartening, we’ve come a long way from our first month, and we continue to trend upward.
Statistically, 70% of our 25,000+ readers come from the United States, Canada and Mexico, this image from our analysis engine speaks volumes to the global interest of the topic of Securely Travel.

We saw our logo morph from sea blue to one of energy and color

Securely Travel wants to hear from you
For those who find value in our pieces we ask that you share those with your own circles, so that others may benefit.
Also, please share your thoughts with us. Your comments and ideas do help us plot our trajectory.
In the coming year we expect to complete our goal of creating ebooks, as well as videos to continue to provide you with information in alternative formats.
We very much think of ourselves as “the little engine that can” as we take on a niche, travel safety and security, which others view as a tangential.
Please accept our thanks for your support this past year, and we look forward to enjoying the privilege of your time in the years ahead.
