Will my insurance work abroad?
Are you clear on whether or not your domestic health insurance covers any doctor or hospital visit abroad? If your only insurance is basic Medicare, then the answer is no according to InsureMyTrip. The good folks at InsureMyTrip conducted a survey to determine the level of knowledge among seniors re their medical insurance situation. The results indicate that we, collectively, have a lot of catching up to do in the knowledge department.
According to Meghan watch, InsureMytrip Insurance Product Manager, “Our latest poll indicates that more education is needed on this important topic. Our goal is to inform travelers, in particular, older Americans, on travel insurance options that include emergency medical and emergency medical evacuation coverage.”
