The day the world closed their doors - 16 March 2020

Country after country is shuttering the borders and going into a Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown, as the pandemic continues to grow and expand. The New York Times led with the headline: “E.U. Chief Seeks to Close Borders as Global Public Life Is Curtailed”

Additionally the World Health Organization has urged all to engage in social distancing and to stay away from gatherings.

Common sense tells us that staying within your core group of individuals, and to avoid contact with others about whose circle of contacts we have no visibility is prudent.

With more and more evidence being produced indicating that asymptomatic carriers of COVID-19 growing in number, and the level of testing (in the U.S.) unable to keep apace with the community spread - one must assume that every individual may be a carrier.

The United States closed it’s ports of entry to all European nations. The European Union announced today that they too were closing their nations’ borders to non-citizens.

Only residents, family members and essential staff – healthcare workers and medical experts – will be exempt from the measures, to be imposed for 30 days initially.

At this time any who are traveling this world should be doing so for only the most essential of reasons.
